Letter to Hon. Sir Donald McLean from Capt. John R. Rushton, 9 Dec 1876. Mentions the Arawa at Ohiwa may leave for Rotorua because they have not been paid despite the land being surveyed years ago & that payment is only fair. He is concerned that Ohiwa may be left without protection if they do leave and that they are loyal Natives. Handwritten, a little difficult to decipher.
